How do you find your balance?

We all want to create a little more balance in our lives. Balance feels different for all of us depending on our responsibilities, relationships, hobbies and jobs. I find that consistency is an important aspect of balance. Lack of consistency in our actions is one of the reasons our lives are often out of whack. One of the ways I try to create consistency is the way I take care of myself, especially with food, exercise, and relaxation. Most of all you need to take time for yourself. If you aren't taking ample time to do what fills your soul away from responsibilities, balance will always seem out of reach. So while we can't anticipate and plan for everything in our lives, we can decide how, where and when to concentrate our energies. This will hopefully lead to much less stress and a well balanced life. So focus on your priorities, get organized, be flexible, create daily routines, establish support networks and simplify your life. Finding balance is a lifetime project (internal & external). It's an ongoing process. It's a way of living.
